I can't find it on YouTube but there was a follow up programme which was shown after Mr. Trebus died.
From what I remember, the man from the council did actually stick the scaffolding (or at least a small section of it) up his chuffer as it was one of Mr. Trebus' final wishes.
It was a nice thing to do, but I do wonder if he would have bothered if Mr. Trebus' case hadn't been featured on television.
