in ways I do not like.
Listening to music is a pastime for me, an actual activity. Music isn't just something to accompany the crawl of my daily routine. It's something to be savoured, as you would a good book or classic film. I greatly enjoy buying a new album, taking it home, unwrapping it, placing it into my cd player and slumping into an armchair with a bottle of wine whilst I listen to the whole thing from start to finish.
I cannot have this experience with an MP3. That's even before I get into the argument about the piss-poor sound quality which, whilst you may never notice the difference on your ipods, only a complete idiot can fail to hear on even a modest hi-fi system.
