Another station I've spent way too much time sat at, waiting for trains that would never arrive
And it can't be because it's not raining in the picture (though to be fair the only times I ever had to stop there were when the Aberystwyth line had flooded so I only ever saw the place in the rain).

York
Worst train station EVAR for late night post-pubbing use, they would actually just completely abandon it after about 11, so if your train was cancelled, moved to another platform or late, you just didn't know.
Might be better now like, this was about a decade ago I used to have to use it regularly, but that was the first time I missed those insincere automated apologies most stations have (they were still using a person sitting in front of a mic, if he went to the loo or quit for the day, you were screwed).

Well you expect that level of barren staffless ineptitude on little stations along the way
but in a fecking city that's supposedly one of the key stations of Britain and a major commuters' link to and from London, maybe not so much!
Bit shit I thought...

bishops stortford is a massive comuter town
the display saying which trains go where has been broken for a year....
last time i went there, there was rubbish overflowing from the bins, vomit from 2 or 3 days on chairs...
and they still had a go at me for smoking at the END of the platform.

Oh don't get me started on that
how can they get pissy about folks smoking IN THE OPEN AIR whilst surrounded by dirty great trains pumping out diesel fumes!?
I'm not even a smoker, but if I see one being hassled whilst doin no one any harm and being perfectly respectful to others, I'll stand up for the feller!
It's got nothing at all to do with 'passenger comfort', asides from teh fact the chap smoking between trains is presumably also a passenger, no one could possibly object to him over there, it's just plain snobby intolerance of others personal choices as 'a dirty habit', end of.
If they were really worried about passenger comfort they'd give 'em a bloody ashtray and the rest of us a fecking seat!
I also fucking HATE when I see office employees forced to stand in all weathers outside, or forced to leave the CARPARK, it's bloody stupid and disrespectful as hell.
