And quite a few of the commenters there appear to believe that Sir Ian is real. Even at the bottom of an article in which he claims the only food he got at school was a translucent, yellow gruel called 'mudge': "which reminded us of the character it was building with every tooth that clattered into our bowls".
Some people have even taken to writing him long, multi-tweet messages on Twitter.
I usually just make more and more outrageous comments to see how long it is before they cotton on.
