
I probably should point out to you again that his stated reason for applying for asylum is to escape possible extradition to the US from sweden (whether you think his fears are valid or not is another debate). He is not going to ecuador for a social call, to demonstrate his support for correas leadership, or because he likes empadas. he is a fugitive and one country , ecuador, made him an offer of asylum. I find the charge of hypocrisy exceedingly weak under those circumstances, and on about the same level as Mench accusing people who buy coffee and protest about the banks of hypocrisy.

and I believe it is a straw man as you just substituted my example for another that only has a passing resemblance but backs up your view without even trying to argue the point.
