my latest motherboard has a mousetrap-esque contraption which brings the lock out to a button to one side on the board.
thank feck, sweaty palms always sticking a screwdriver down there trying to relase the gpu.
only take 30 years to sort this

They often require force to operate them, which feels risky.
My last PC had the plastic fail on the CPU fan, which fell off. Cable tied it in place and it worked fine.
