Threads - Redux Project
I few weeks ago I took part in the reduxing of American Assassin. If you didn't see it, basically the Redux Project is a collection of low-budget site-specific shot-for-shot movie remakes, the brain-child of Richard DeDomenici .
This weekend was the premiere of Threads, an 80s UK made-for-TV movie about the effect of nuclear war in Sheffield. It was shown as part of Sheffield Doc|Fest 2018.
If you get the opportunity to get involved in a future redux, I'd highly recommend it. Great fun.

That's pretty much the epitome of the level of effects in these things.
In American Assassin we had bananas for guns, and ice for broken glass.

also they couldn't find a kid at 6:38 so used an adult in a kids outfit haha
