Just a number
When I was eight, I remember how OLD teenagers seemed: loud, violent, reckless, dangerous - wrinkly even. In contrast, I couldn't even guess how old genuinely old people were.
My criterion these days is whether people complain narcissistically about their health. I've met eighteen-year-olds who are OLD, and eighty year olds who are not.
