Depressing or no (and it is)
It's still a cartoon high point for me. You don't often get cartoons that are prepared to show kids an intellectual world full of paradox and myth, especially one that so closely mirrors the often deeply screwed up world of the ancient Greeks.
As a kid, it was the episode where they got stuck walking on the Mobius strip that scared me the most. Imagine doing the same thing for ever (he says, while attending his tedious job).
