I liked it

I used to like Barbarian (and not just for Maria Whittaker)

The sequel was a bit shit
It had you walking through a spilt-screen maze, hitting improbable creatures and trying to jump over pools of acid in a pixel-perfect fashion.
Inevitably you'd come across some monster that was nearly impossible to hit and drained your life very quickly and then you would die. Or just get stuck trying to jump over the fucking acid pools.
Barbarian 1 was much better.
EDIT: Although judging by that screenshot, the enemy in Barbarian II was Richard O'Brien, and I suppose that goes in its favour.
