I like the story of the Chinese state airline...the Big Bosses of the airline, in particular those who were in charge of Millennium Bug fixing work, were told by the government that at 00:00:00 on 01/01/2000 they would all be flying at 30,000ft on one of their aircraft.
Now THAT's an incentive scheme...
