So many people forget
that disabilities don't just affect the disabled. For example, a Downs child bites another child and draws blood. The other child bites back, but not as hard and they are the ones who get into trouble, even though their arm is pissing blood and they now need stitches etc. Downs kid is sat down and told that their behaviour is wrong and bad, but no real punishment for what they did. I'd have tanned their hide, but was too busy trying to stop the blood... Took the kid to hospital with teatowels taped round his arm. Parents weren't too bothered till they heard who did the biting. Now there's hell to pay in the group and it's all fun and games again! :)
