Well, in my viewas someone who works with contracts every day, by giving that advice, his dad gave his dad gave his full consent to the contract. So, even though your friend was below the age of majority, he could very have still been held liable for that debt, if the bank wanted to get arsey about it*
* speaking about contract law only and igrnoring financial regulations, of which I know nothing.
