I was wonderingonly this morning whether it's possible to split a finger on a string...
I like to do a lot of over elaborate slides on the bass (probably to make up for a lack of ability or something), and, sometimes if I haven't practised and the old callouses have faded a bit, it feels as though my finger's going to burst open.
Doubt it's possible, but it's always there at the back of my mind.
