It wasn't until the b3ta mods read the Flashman novels that we changed from mild-mannered computer operators into heavily-whiskered copulators, poltroons and all round bastards in a well-known cavalry regiment.

Glamorama by Brett Easton EllisThis isn't a book that changed my view of the world, nor did it have a profound effect on how I live my life.
It did, however, change the way I viewed story writing, and did so for the better.
I was blown away by the unhinged flow of the story; the constant subversion of reality and the fact that you could feel the terror the narrator was going through as confusion reigned throughout.
I think it's the only book that I've restarted as soon as I'd finished it.
