Well, DUH
How many centuries has the modern bra been around? About one. How many thousands upon thousands of years did women run around sans restrictive undergarments? Quite a few. It goes to show that we're probably--SURPRISE--designed to have the weight where it is, not cantilevered up onto our shoulders.
I've got pretty damn big tits, and I have zero back pain. I attribute this to the fact that I cannot stand bras and usually chuck them the moment I get home. (Mr. Herbivorous entirely approves of this plan, as well, so there's that to consider.)
Most of the women I've known with severe breast-induced back pain are women that tend to wear a bra all the time, including at night, thinking that the "support" will make things better. Most of the hippie chicks I know that go without report absolutely zero problem, no matter their cup size.
This would probably be similar to the studies that have found that runners that run barefoot actually have far fewer foot injuries than runners using the very best in modern trainers.
