My GM days were in between...... post-Britpop but before Winehouse.
Used to spend a lot of time in there though playing pool with my mate who used to supply remix CDs to a lot of the stalls round the market. Some bloke slapped my wife on the arse there once and one of the guys we knew (who lived next door at Arlington House) offered to teach him a lesson (he would have, too, we had to tell him it was okay). Happy days.
