One time a girl - must've been about 12 - asked if I'd buy her a packet of fags. I said no. Then she reached out and stroked my chest and said: "I'll make it worth your while..." in an incredibly suggestive fashion. I didn't buy the fags for her, and I didn't take her round the back of Morrisons and shaft her, but - well, I'd be lying if I said the girls of Bolton back in the early ninetees wern't, what's the term? - oh, yes: real fucking goers.
As for the personal hygiene thing; I had my crunchiest sex in Bolton back in those halcyon days...

Because being shut in a small, sound-proofed room several hundred miles away is A Good Thing for someone ill-educated, boorish and with lamentable personal hygiene.
