The surviving cat makes trilling noises at me by way of greeting, yes, if I didn't feed it it'd probably fuck off, but you know what, why would I not feed my cat?
They're not evil, they're not bastards, they're not vindictive; they're far too stupid to even begin comprehending those qualities. They're an organism that has by chance survived and that we take into our homes for the cute tribble-like behaviour or the mousing or both.
(Though, all that said, when I was away from the kitty for about 4 months he apparently stopped eating and just sat around all day next to my seat, so have at you, naysayers!)
