This is a question I don't understand the attraction

Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Also... the Beatles
I've never got round to listening to all their stuff, so the other day I downloaded their back catalogue and started listening... fuck me it's drivel. It seems to break down into two things:
1) Inane cheery pop arse
2) Drug induced abstract arse

Edited to add:
3) One or the other of them noodling around with some new bit of technology such as a tape loop machine. Just because you got there first doesn't make it good.

Now deleted and downloading the KLF back catalogue instead.

You may say you hate the Beatles...

Each to his own
Although I should think you'd find a few more people on the planet that would support the Beatles over KLF, and not just the unthinking fanbase.

I would argue though that the Beatles produced such a wide range of music, in so many styles and written for so many other performers, that to say you dislike them completely isn't so much a critique of their music but more an indication of how much you are a "non-fanboy".

I've heard many arguments against popular bands, but instead of saying "I don't like their style", the argument is that "they are shit", "can't play proper music". "too bland", "to noisy" etc. Not all popular band may be talented, but hitting on the old supergroups for being talentless while supporting less well known groups looks more like music snobbery than reasoned thinking.

You've every right to dislike any group for whatever reason you want, but a more reasoned argument would have been a much more interesting read.
Although possily less funny, I admit :-)
