I don't understand the attraction
Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

Twitter is a great idea, lacking a purpose.
If it were used as, say, an internal communications system for a large company it could be reasonably useful.
Instead of having to ring round different departments trying to find the one person who knows the answer to your question, you stick a 'tweet' (stupid word) up and wait for the answer(s) to roll in.
I agree though that in it's current form, it's pretty pointless.
