This is a question I don't understand the attraction

Smaug says: Ricky Gervais. Lesbian pr0n. Going into a crowded bar, purely because it's crowded. All these things seem to be popular with everybody else, but I just can't work out why. What leaves you cold just as much as it turns everyone else on?

I wouldn't like to generalise this much
But I do certainly think religion has a lot to answer for.

Most religious people I know think it gives them some moral high ground, and that believing in a God makes them a "Good Person". These are then the people that are often pious, unthinking and spiteful in many ways, not to mention being liberal with interpretation of the law in what they see as "minor" issues. (For example, driving without an MOT).

A good example was shown on "The Big Question" this last Sunday. "Should Mother Theresa be a Saint?". The man that told of the money directed away from a hospital (by her) to the Church was largely ignored, but the man that professed to have been cured by her prayer was given air time. He was a self-confessed schizophrenic and bipolar sufferer!!! Yeah, let's believe a miracle rather than fact, shall we? After all, she was such a lovely person, right...
