Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

TrueA good point sir. I do try to give money to genuine homeless people, and have even bought the Big Issue on occasion. However, most of the feckless wasters that approach me in Greenock will be on the social, living on a godforsaken scheme with the rest of the scum. Not homeless, just bampots. The sad thing is, it makes you numb to real suffering, such as you've described above. And there ain't much funny about that.
