Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

That's another thing - 17" alloys with low profile tyres give a rather bumpy ride. I ordered it with 16" alloys but it came with the bigger ones.
And Lunar Jim - my sister has a MkIV Golf TDi 130, which is a great car, and put together really well. However, she recently bought a new Mk V GT Sport TDi, which IMO is not as good as the old one (which she now lets her husband drive!). Still does nearly 50mpg though.
