Conned

Have you carried out a successful con? Perhaps you hustled a few quid off a stranger, or defrauded a multi-national company. Or have you been taken for the wide-eyed, naive rube that you are?

I play the bonuses on online casinos
I consistently make about £250 on average each month and spend only a couple of hours doing so. The trick is knowing when to take their bonus offers and how to play them to my advantage. It's really just applied math but sometimes it feels like a con. Back at university the money was a great boost but these days I mostly carry on out of habit.
Not the most entertaining answer to this question I suppose ..

I used to do this!
Well I did on one casino and made £700. Never tried doing more than that though - the bonuses are always extremely restrictive in letting you eventually withdraw the money, can't bet in roulette, blackjack or baccarat, have to wager at least 20 times the bonus etc. How do you get around those terms?

fundmydegree.com
In my final year (about 18months ago) I did that for a couple of weeks. Nearly shafted myself after losing badly on one blackjack game. Luckily the thing had another bonus after a certain wager so I didn't lose any money.
Made about £70 in the end.
How do you do yours then?

The main point is to ..
.. never play unless you have a positive expected win. I used to download a lot of online casinos -- there are plenty -- play there once for the initial signup bonus and never enter the place again. I can't be bothered with the downloading and registration these days so I just play in five places which offer monthly match bonuses. But if I really wanted to I could make more.
As for getting a positive expectation from an offer, most of my strategies involve betting aggressively in the beginning, either going bust immediately or reaching some high amount. Usually I go bust but when I win, I win big, and in the long run it's an excellent strategy. If you know probability math, you may be able to work you why. If you can't work out the math, you should probably stay clear of bonus hunting.
Also, the "trade" involves some mathematical insight and knowledge of the games as well as gathering intelligence in order to avoid the dodgier places.
