Cynicism - PJM and a bit o' politicsWell, we can't deny that average temperatures appear to be increasing. However, the powers-that-wank-in-our-faces have decided that they can play on the general public's guilt and tax people trying to travel to work under the justification that you're a complete pariah just because you drive a car. Meanwhile, international air travel isn't even allowed to be included in our "official" CO2 emissions statistics.
You can't miss the fuck off 747s belching CO2, consuming scarce and expensive hydrocarbons by the tonne and carrying people to far flung destinations from the nations' airports, no? Well according to government stats, they don't exist. The CO2 emissions published for aviation are those for domestic flights only.
We now have a convenient excuse to tax the bejesus out of the public thanks to so many ill informed self righteous moral crusaders (ie those who will bore the shit out of you waffling on about their Toyota Prius, but who regularly fly to the states twice a year). The government doesn't even have to write their own propaganda.
We, ladies and gentlemen are being fucking rogered royally and it's only going to get worse.
