Crappy PrizesCompetitions, raffles, give-aways... sure the prizes look great, but don't they always turn out a bit crap should you happen to win them?
The last raffle I bought tickets for, they'd just given away the all-expenses paid weekend in New York when my number came up. Rushing up to find out what I'd won, I was a little disappointed to be handed a box of "Biscuits for Cheese". Especially as they were busy serving the cheese course (complete with biscuits) as they drew the raffle.

Not me, but my mumentered a competition in our local paper for "Masses of 'Friends' and 'ER' prizes." She put my brothers' name on it, and got the shock of her life three weeks later saying that he'd won.
Most of the prizes were shoddy (Signed Photo of the cast, coffee mugs, etc) but the main prize was an espresso machine.
No-one in my family likes coffee, except me.
So I get a rather expensive coffee maker, just in time to move into a new flat.
A diamond in the shit I think...
