A lot of uswith mortgages aren't saving anything either. It's only those on variable/tracker deals. The rest of us are not only not saving money, but some mortgages are actually costing more on renewal (Northern Rock had no real competitors for some niche markets, and they're trying to force people to leave by upping their interest rates on renewal, despite there being no alternatives available on the market).
