this reminds me of a taleI had got off the bus from town, rather the worse for drink and was staggering up the hill to my folks' house.
Unbeknownst to me, my bro had got a lift back, beating the bus by a minute or so, and on hearing the bus drop me off had hidden in a hedge to surprise me in a similar fashion to the dad mentioned above.
As he leapt from the bush, screeching at me, I turned to him and calmly said "alright?"
no idea how I managed not to soil myself as I tend to jump out of my skin when someone unexpectedly opens a door that I'm about to go through.
