Similar thing happened to meI discovered at a young age that running on the spot by the side of the pool was a bad idea. Split my chin wide open. I recall the journey all the way from Highbury Swimming Pool to the Whittington Hopital in Highgate (by bus!) being the most agonising journey of my life. Still have the scar today.
