I worked for the NHS once...
And was told that when the porters are pushing the body trolleys around and they're rattling, they're empty.

However, if the trolley doesn't rattle, there's a corpse inside it.

I saw a lot of quiet trolleys.

Anyway, reminds me of that Billy Connolly story where his friend could be bothered to make more than one trip to the University Hospital with the cadavers, so he piled four on to one trolley, making a giant man, and causing a car accident!
