Have you ever seen a dead body?
How did you feel?
Upset? Traumatised? Relieved? Like poking it with a stick?

my great grandmother
died when I was about 12. I went to see the body in the casket and I recall my mum telling me that my great-gran had woke up from her bed where she was lying having been ill for some time and asked for a glass of sherry.
She drank her sherry, said thank you and goodbye and died.
That's how I want to go....not only drinking but dropping dead just when it's my round...result!

Funnily enough,
we were discussing this in the pub recently. i thought the best way to go, would be a nice clean heart attack, just after ordering a large round; making sure all my mates got a final drink on me, even better a free one? Surely we thought the barstaff wouldn't pry the cash out of my dead fingers? Then again, they are miserable sods at the best of times....

That happens a lot
not running our on your tab, but the "one last one" thing. People can be unconcious, not eating or drinking for a week and then...
They come to, ask for a favorite dish or drink, sit up in the garden, smile and talk to everyone for a few hours, then go back to bed and never wake up. No knows why; we call it a rally. It's particularly cruel if the family doesn't understand what's going on-they think Daddy is spontaneously cured and start praising Jesus.
Next morning, uh-oh.
