On a lighter note...and there are many.....Dave was hilarious and often joked about his demise. He got a scowl from me when he asked me about 2 years ago straight-faced to put his ashes in our compost heap. I promised him I'd scatter his ashes down at Lake Ontario and Cranberry Marsh. With a seated happydance and a big grin he exclaimed, "Excellent...my favourite! We're goin' down to the lake! I love chickadees. Thank-you."
