My experience, albeit limited, is the sameI went to Cork - had about 5 pints in different places - all the fucking same.
'Oh, you need to be in Dublin for the really good stuff'.
Due to adverse weather conditions we unexpectedly go home via Dublin (whilst spending a night on a stationary ferry with some hilarious badly behaved schoolchildren, one of whom crapped themselves during 'Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels' in a very small, very sealed, very hot cinema room).
I went (once again) to about 5 of six bars and could not tell the difference.
