My Biggest Disappointment
Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."
Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.
What's disappointed you lot?

Disappointment or low expectations - spoiler maybe
After 'Die another day', I am happy with serial films that are good before the 'Iceland switch' and it just turns to CGI PAP. I really loved the sense of dread as he was wandering through crypts, the asylum and catacombs, all the time waiting for a snake to drop on him, the floor to collapse, the nuns to turn evil and lock him in.
And they just didn't give in at all - a beautiful building sense of dread, so by the time that the twunting aliens turned up, I was an emotional wreck and just pleased that they'd stopped toying with my nerves, that such UTTER PAP gave me a bit of a breathing space.
The easter egg with the True Ark was quite (IMHO) cheeky, and although the fridge scene was silly, when he runs into the house, there's a real sense of relief. And then slowly, it all dawned on me, from somewhere deep in my memory, those posters at the swimming pool that showed what would happen if a X Megaton device detonated on the Tyne Bridge. They must have done the research somewhere. Oops...
So again, the PAP CGI was just a chance for me to regroup my emotions, have a handful of popcorn and a slug of pepsi max, and gird my loins.
Now, I accept, I'd stayed up till 3 the night before watching the election coverage, and was enjoying my first day off work for ages, but I still felt like those boys treated me like an emotional marionette.
And now I've had the chance to say it :-)
