This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

Bill Bailey
Tinsleworm Tour, 2007.

That is all

....ok should add more I guess. Basically from the top of my head I can only remember two decent leagnth funny songs, one of which was the Love Song from his older DVD as an encore. The other was his emo one.

The rest was bog-standard stand-up...something he is not actually that good at!

Were you not at the show
Where he covered Creep with the Indian band?

Obviously not
...I was at the last of the Glasgow shows (the first to go on sale).

A few mates said the night before it was much better going on what I had said and they got the CD of the show that night and I agree with them.

Think he couldn't be arsed the night I went!

To be honest
The tour absolutely sucked when you compare it with part-troll. The ASDA song is the only thing I can really remember, and even that only produced a mild titter...

ancrenne
I have seen all his DVDs etc and am fairly sure he is known for his music more than his stand-up...in fact he is...what you said is simply not true :-)

Uncle Phalllus, I remember that song now...but only since you mentioned it.

The best thing he ever done was the Cosmic Shindig for Comic Relief/Children in Need. If you can find a copy of it on the internet get it!

Humph.
I saw Tinsleworn at Wembley (the night that got recorded for the DVD), and the Bailey was FULL of WIN.

If your gig was one of the first to go on sale, it's a pretty fair bet that he may still have been in 'getting it together' mode.

Mild titter? When I saw him I was rolling in the aisles! :)

Still, I'm sad that you didn't enjoy it...
