This is a question My Biggest Disappointment

Often the things we look forward to the most turn out to be a huge let down. As Freddy Woo puts it, "High heels in bed? No fun at all. Porn has a lot to answer for."

Well, Freddy, you are supposed to get someone else to wear them.

What's disappointed you lot?

my sad nerdy disappointment
that on my 16th birthday, then my 18th birthday, then my 21st birthday, i didnt turn into a vampire, or a superhero, and the government never showed up at my house asking me to help them on a top secret mission.
When I took place in an archeological dig, I was disappointed I never found anything cursed, or an underground cave leading to something magical.
When I went to Egypt, I was really disappointed I never found a secret door in the pyramids leading to treasures beyond my wildest dreams.
I am genuinely disappointed that even if i focus on something really hard, it still doesn't move or burst into flames.
I hate the fact that so far, I haven't been back or forward in time.
It pisses me off that no matter how much I look upwards and stand on tip-toes, I never fly.

This is the danger of being brought up on films.

I can go forwards in time
I'm doing it right now. It's not as exciting as you seem to think it might be.

other than that, I frequently have the same disappointments.

hmm
I think it's coz my life is fairly ordinary, and I was always convinced I would turn out to be something special.
If I was in a film, I am sure I would be the lead, and it kinda depresses me that at the moment, I am just an extra.

it sucks to think
they you are just a bit-player in everybody else's lives, but rather than be disappointed by it, you just have to accept it and get on with it.

revel in the fact that things you do won't make all that much difference to anything, so you can more or less do what you want.

keeps me happy

although saying this, I was outside smoking a joint the other day and became convinced that if I held my hands up, used them to slice slowly through the air and moved sideways just so, that I would be able to slip between dimensions.

didn't work as far as I can tell, but it might just be that this dimension is basically, for all intents and purposes, the same as the one I left.
