oooooh, oooohCan't agree enough. I love all the many varied and magical albums by Don van Vliet but Trout Mask Replica is fucking awful. I can't bear to listen to it.
What really riles me though is that any muso compilation of the Best Albums Of All Time will include TMR as the person including it in the list thinks, "Hmmmm, that Captain Beefheart. He's famous for being weird and this is his weirdest album so it must be his best."
