mehhhhhhhhh, it's the internet, don't take it so seriouslyI'll make a mental note to scale down the /talk cynicism on qotw, that kind of sniping is out of place here and a throwaway insult that would simply raise a "pfft" on /talk can invoke indignance and offence pretty much anywhere else on the internet.
Don't worry about internet threats, I never gave it a second thought. Everyone gets angry at the internet once in a while and years of /talk have made me something of an expert in getting up people's noses.
As for sympathy ... sorry but I just don't do sympathy. Not for anyone, no matter what their disability. The vast majority of disabled people do not want sympathy and find it patronising and insulting when others express sympathy.
Empathy yes, sympathy no. Practical assistance, not pity.
