In a convenience storenear where I used to work, the guy that ran the place would scratch the sell by date off of chocolate wrappers (and god knows what else). Thankfully we knew this so we would rifle through the display until we found a bar with a legitimate date on it. I guess this sort of thing goes on everywhere!
