Better To Be The EccentricLiving in Albuquerque, I once took a "Plants of New Mexico" class. I learned that a common weed, while not tasty, and far too gooey, was nevertheless edible. Tedious conversations change tone when you bend down, pick some sprigs from between sidewalk cracks, and start idly chewing away.

I don't think I could do thatI'd be too worried about the potential for dog piss and similar things being on the weed.
I'd certainly need to clean it before chewing.
