The MIB (Motor Insurers Bureau, not men in black) will cover the other guy's repairs, costs etc. They do this by applying a levy to all premiums paid - so in effect everyone else could end up paying for your claim. If you have assets, your own insurer will then sue the arse off you.
It ain't worth it, really.
