Or did he try and make an effort with you because he loved your mother and was trying to make her happy, obviously something you were unable to do as you were far too busy being a spoilt little brat. You probably caused your mother embarrassment, shame and humiliation not just because the fact her professional image had been severely jeopardised but also it shows you had no respect for her whatsoever and the decisions she made to be with this man and try and find happiness again.
