IfHe's a contractor by choice then he's one of the Elite.
But if he's a contractor because he can't get a full-time position then he'll be worse than useless.
Two types of contractors, the Elite and the waste-of-space.
In almost every contract I've worked on I've been offered a full-time position. But I'd rather drag my testicles over broken glass than join the ranks of the permies.
