I'm kind of a history dorkand I read the following, literally, last night in this book called "Mayflower" about the original settlers in the Massachussets area of North America:
"In 1642, seventeen year old Thomas Granger, a servant to "an honest man of Duxbury" was convicted of having sexual relations with "a mare, a cow, two goats, five sheep, two calves and a turkey."
A TURKEY?!
And you lot think the Scots are sheep-mad!
