This is a question Family codes and rituals

Freddy Woo writes, "as a child we used to have a 'whoever cuts doesn't choose the slice' rule with cake. It worked brilliantly, but it's left me completely anal about dividing up food - my wife just takes the piss as I ritually compare all the slice sizes."

What codes and rituals does your family have?

My wife's family is very much the same..
But they add the childs voice too, which I feel is slightly strange.

Some things just stick..and they're fun to remember, but to hear grown ups talk like children is f*cked up.

When we have kids, I would like them to know the queens english..otherwise when they go to school, they'll be talking like a retard, and get bullied everyday.

My mother in law asks "Do you want some Crips"? Which means crisps.. Until I pointed out that the "Crips" are one of the most notorious gangs in America.
