I have to sayI like the fact that when he got drunk he wanted you to know the money was for you...rather than being a nasty resentful stepdad.
I'm sure he wasn't perfect...but in vino veritas...better he felt this way when he was lashed than anything else. And you work for him now - so he can't be all that bad.
Yeah for stepdads everywhere - it's the most difficult job there is (and no, I'm not a stepdad, but was a c*nt to my stepfather and he didn't deserve it)
