The bloke who plays Uncle Vernonaka Richard Griffiths aka Monty from Withnail and I, broke one of my grandparent's chairs when he sat on it (they live in Stratford).
Their house is on Church Street, the extension to the High Street, and you step from the front door onto the pavement.
So one day I stepped out of the house, and bumped straight into Ben Kingsley. This was in the 80s.
He gave me a stare from those laser eyes of his, and I walked off, then thought 2 minutes later "Ghandi !".
