Speaking as one of those parents - Fuck off.
I can readily admit to the tiredness and (avalanche of) toys everywhere, but laundry and dishes being left out are just slobbery. Careful disposal and use of air freshener negates the nappy stink and the risk of inadvertently finding a mushy half-chewed something or other stuck to your person adds a frisson of danger when going about daily business.
