You make a valid pointOne time a girl I sort of knew as a friend of a friend came up to me at club closing time when the lights went up and everyone started trooping out. She thumped me in the arm. Hard. Took me back a bit. And then she said: "That's for ignoring me all night. Couldn't you see I was trying to get you to come and talk to me?"
Being a gentleman I took the high ground and did the most gentlemanly response under the circumstances. I told her to fuck off and stop hitting people at random.
It hurt. And I bruise like a peach.
